I believe the fingerboard is rosewood based on the tone and texture but it is quite dark, appears to have been dyed. The finish was so bad I went ahead and sanded a bit of a contour on the top edge to be a bit more comfortable. I added Sperzels, Lollar P90s, replaced the bridge and loose inserts with a Graphtech Resomax and my tech gave it a fret job and setup.
